Paul Bass and Steve Pinkston
Silver (1998)
Silver was released in May of 1998, and was to be the last studio album
Paul and Steve completed together. Paul's health was failing, and often could work for just an hour or two before he had to rest. As a result,
Steve took over a lot of the production on this album, and even designed the
CD package.
The album title -- Silver -- refers to Paul and Steve's 25th anniversary of making music together in 1997. In the summer of 1998
they started working on a sixth duo album, to be called Ballads and Blues for
Two, but this never got much beyond the planning stage before
Paul's declining health prevented any further progress.

Three-Day Weekend, Volume 3 (1995)
This was the last project Paul and Steve released on analog cassette, in 1995. They did, however, master the project to DAT, beginning the transition to digital technology. Their writing -- both individually and as a team -- showed increasing maturity during this period.

Following the positive response to their first release, Three-Day Weekend, Volume 2 was released on cassette to family and friends in 1994. Paul and Steve had gotten a little better at the home-studio recording process, and a bit more adventurous in their writing on this one.

Three-Day Weekend, Volume 1 (1993)
Three-Day Weekend, Volume 1 was first released on cassette to family and friends of Paul Bass and Steve Pinkston in 1993. All of the tunes were recorded on a 4-track cassette recorder at Paul's home studio in Santa Cruz or Steve's home studio in Oregon. This was their first time writing and recording music together since they were members of the progressive-rock band Ivory in the 1970s.

Paul Bass - Solo Piano
Winter Dreams (1996)
Winter Dreams is an album of solo piano that Paul Bass recorded in 1996. All of the tunes he recorded
were composed by Steve Pinkston.
Steve says about this CD:
"Winter Dreams was a complete surprise to me, and a very great honor that Paul would forego recording his own compositions on his album, and instead feature mine. It is a gift I will always treasure. And -- as always -- Paul's interpretation of my tunes went beyond anything that I ever imagined, and brought out the beauty in the tunes that was there waiting to be discovered. Thank you, old friend."
